After a long, busy week, start your weekend by relaxing and de-stressing with this soothing restorative class.
Each class begins with a few gentle poses to release muscular tension, followed by several restorative (ie: restful) poses. Each restorative pose is held for 5 minutes or more to allow your body to fully relax. Props such as blankets, bolsters and blocks are used for support to promote release of tension in the muscles, aiming to reduce overall stress, restore the body and promote restfulness and health. Classes end with a deep, guided relaxation and optional hands-on massage. It is a great way to shed the stresses of the work week and transition into the weekend feeling rejuvenated, relaxed and restored.
An ideal class for students of all levels. This class is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing stiffness or recovering from illness or injuries. *Please note you need to be able to transition to and from the floor.
